Course Introduction
Following Level 1, this Safeguarding Adults (Level 2) course will provide intermediate awareness and understanding of the importance of safeguarding adults. It will enable you to act confidently in reporting matters through identified routes, keeping appropriate records.

This course can be delivered as a Workshop, Classroom style or Virtual Live Online Training.
Topics Covered (+ Level 1 Course)
Understand what constitutes harm, abuse and/or neglect and be able to identify signs (in all forms)
Act as an effective advocate where required – for example where there are mental capacity or communication issues
Identify your professional role, responsibilities, boundaries and understand those of colleagues in a multidisciplinary team and multi-agency setting
How and when to refer to social care in accordance with organisational policies
Correctly document safeguarding concerns in a format that informs the relevant staff and agencies appropriately
Understand how to maintain appropriate records including being able to differentiate between fact and opinion
Identify the appropriate and relevant information and how to share it with other teams
Understand key statutory/ non-statutory guidance and legislation including Human Rights Act and mental capacity legislation
Consider risk factors for radicalisation contacts regarding preventative action and supporting those persons who may be at risk of terrorist related activity
Course Description
This 4-hour Safeguarding Adults (Level 2) course is aimed at ALL staff who have any contact (however small) with children, young people and/or parents/ carers or any adult who may pose a risk to children.
Following on from Level 1, the aim of this course is to provide awareness of child safeguarding and confidence to report matters through identified routes.
You will be confident to act as an effective child advocate, learn about the importance of protecting the rights of children and how critical partnership working is.
