Course Introduction
Following Levels 1 & 2, this intermediate Safeguarding Adults (Level 3) course will provide in-depth awareness and understanding of safeguarding adults. This course is aimed at improving the knowledge of staff working with adults who could potentially contribute towards assessing, planning, intervening and/ or evaluating the needs of adults.

This course can be delivered as a Workshop, Classroom style or Virtual Live Online Training.
Topics Covered (+ Level 1 & 2 Courses)
Identify adults experiencing abuse, harm and/ or neglect who have caring responsibilities for other adults or children and make appropriate referrals
Demonstrate a clear understanding of forensic procedures in adult safeguarding and present the findings and evidence to meet legal requirements
Undertake a risk and/ or harm assessment
Contribute to, formulate and communicate effective care plans for adults subjected to abuse, harm or neglect. Contribute to inter-agency assessments by gathering and sharing information
Document reviews for adult safeguarding
Deliver and receive supervision and/ or peer review, and be able to recognise the personal impact of safeguarding on professionals
Apply lessons from audit and serious case reviews/ case management reviews to improve practice. Contribute towards serious case reviews and domestic homicide review processes
Obtain support and help in situations where there are safeguarding problems requiring further expertise and experience
Understand the skills required to participate in a safeguarding enquiry

This Safeguarding Adults (Level 3) 1-day course is aimed at improving the knowledge of staff who have contact with adults.
These staff could potentially contribute to assessing, planning, intervening and/or evaluating the needs of an adult regardless of whether there have been previously identified with safeguarding concerns, or not.
